We all have our sh*t

And it’s our job to deal with it. Let me help you.

Relationships

For clients looking to heal from relational trauma or improve their current relationships. Whether you’re dealing with current relationship challenges, or want to improve how you show up in your relationships, relational therapy is appropriate for you.

For individuals this could be healing attachment wounds, coping with changes within your family, or managing relationship stressors including romantic and platonic breakups.

Couples therapy is available for partners of all sexualities and genders who are looking to improve communication and connection, prepare for life transitions, or work through conflict.

Anxiety, Burnout, & Stress

For clients who are dealing with symptoms of anxiety, high levels of stress, or are concerned about burnout. Whether you’re noticing physical symptoms of stress, feel like you’re constantly worrying and overthinking things, or are scared of being perceived in social situations, therapy that specializes in anxiety and stress management may be helpful for your growth.

Utilizing a mix of coherence therapy and other experiential tools, therapy aims to get at the root cause of anxiety, so that you can not only gain insights into what is happening within your body and mind, but also experience something different, ultimately leading to lasting change.

Identity Development and Self Esteem

For individuals looking to work on their relationship with themselves. Whether you’re exploring your sexuality, considering a life change like parenthood or career change, or are hoping to address racial trauma, therapy can be a place of curiosity to safely explore different parts of yourself and your values.

Maybe you feel like past life experiences and relationships have impacted your self esteem, or you struggle to make decisions for yourself.

Therapy that is trauma informed and experiential, doing more than simply talking about things, can help you feel and show up differently in your life.

  • I will collect payment within 24 hours of your appointment time. If you have out of network benefits through your insurance, I can provide receipts or a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I have limited spots for sliding scale fees that I offer for individuals going through a difficult time financially, or for students. Please reach out if you’re interested.

  • Prior to moving to Illinois I worked at a practice in Minnesota called Valued Living Therapy. I am credentialed with insurances through that practice and continue to work virtually with that team. I am not yet credentialed with insurance companies in Illinois.

  • I do not use any AI technologies in my practice. This means I do not use AI to record sessions or summarize notes that go in your file. All correspondences you have with me are self written. Relationship and communication skills are a huge part of my practice, and we improve our skills by doing them ourselves. Therefore, any grammar or spelling mistakes are entirely my own doing!

  • I value social justice, equity, autonomy, and self determination. I believe our mental health is greatly impacted by the systems in which we live. I consider how housing, discrimination, income, social supports, movement, access to outdoor space, food quality, and other factors impact how you are feeling and behaving. I do this not solely because it aligns with my values, but because it is supported by research. I also encourage my clients to identify their own values, and they do not need to align with mine. Therapy is your space and I encourage you to show up with what is important to you.
